Biofuels Producers Initiative

Objectives:

To bring about the greatest possible benefit to the agriculture sector by including significant ownership in biofuels production facilities. Help agriculture producers to develop business plans for projects with significant producer ownership, and aiding to undertake feasibility (or other) studies to support the creation and expansion of the biofuels production capacity.

How to apply:

The Agriculture and Food Council stopped accepting new Expression of Interest forms on May 25, 2007. If deemed eligible, proponents will be invited to submit a full application. The deadline for submission of the full application is June 18, 2007.

Applications will be reviewed by an industry committee, and the Agriculture and Food Council. A final decision will be made on September 30, 2007.
