Joseph Gendre
Joe Gendre has spent his life in agriculture; born into a mixed farm in 1961. After graduating high school, he took over the family farm and converted it into a successful dairy. During his dairy years, Joe was active as a delegate and sat on the board of directors for Alpha Milk. After 25 years of solo dairying, Joe sold the dairy and concentrated on grain farming. Joe is currently in his third term as Councillor, Erskine-Buffalo Lake, for the County of Stettler. With this council position came many secondary boards, including County Ag Services Chair, Alberta Provincial Ag Services Board, Board of Central Alberta Economic Partner, Buffalo Lake Management Team, Family and Community Support Services Board among many others. Joe has traveled Europe, Thailand, Central America, South America, and throughout Canada, USA and Mexico, taking particular interest in agriculture and processing. |
