“The Agriculture and Food Council of Alberta is pleased to have been the lead council in the highly successful delivery of Customer Focused Collaboration – Mastering Value Chain Development program,” said Alberta Value Chain Initiative Chair Nancy Romanow Cranston.
“We are especially pleased that the councils with which we partnered on the project found it valuable and have agreed to collaborate on another advanced training program in Spring 2008. ACAAF councils across Canada have a successful history of partnering to deliver value chain conferences.”
Ninety-four per cent of the participants who gathered in Kananaskis March 13-15 to hone their value chain management skills said that they would recommend this program to other companies and their value chain partners. Many also said they would send representatives from their business to the next program. The first advanced value chain management program was presented by the Agriculture and Food Council’s Value Chain Initiative, which is funded in partnership by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Advancing Canadian Agriculture and Agri-Food (ACAAF) program and Alberta Agriculture and Food. This program is also supported by the Manitoba Rural Adaptation Council (MRAC); Saskatchewan Council for Community Development (SCCD); and the Investment Agriculture Foundation of British Columbia (IAFBC).
