Dr. Wendy Lam has over 25 years of guiding companies and researchers with respect to technical development, operational efficiencies, public funding and financial metrics at all stages. Wendy has held senior roles in applied research and development, strategic program planning and delivery, intellectual property commercialization and company investments. She is a self-starter and creative problem solver committed to innovation and prosperity.
Previous work places are Alberta Women Entrepreneurs, AVAC Ltd., Alberta Ingenuity Fund, University of Alberta, Western Economic Diversification (WD) and Natural Resources Canada. Wendy returned recently to WD Alberta to join the Innovation and Technology Commercialization business unit. Active community involvement is important to Wendy who has volunteered with the Chemical Institute of Canada, Hong Kong Canada Business Association, Festival of Trees and Edmonton Children’s Choir. Wendy earned her chemistry degrees from Western University and the University of Alberta, and has lived in Edmonton for almost 35 years.
